A game for the people around your table

Think alike. Not like everyone.

One topic. Spontaneous thoughts. Two minutes. SomeSync brings 3–12 people together for an association game where matching some of the others is better than matching everyone.

SomeSync is being tested before its App Store launch.
SomeSync

Less screen time. More together time.

01

Gather your people

The host signs in with an IT24 account and creates a private game. Friends enter the game code or scan the QR invitation, then add a display name. Guests do not need an account.

02

Pass the word around

Take turns choosing a topic from 1,000 ideas, or say your own topic out loud. Choose 1–10 answers per player for the game, with 3 as the default. The topic picker starts the round and everyone writes their answers in two minutes.

03

Find your common thoughts

Read around the table and suggest matches, or let the judge arrange the answers. The judge decides which answers belong together. SomeSync calculates the points.

A little in common goes a long way.

Each matching player receives the number of people in their approved group. A single answer earns zero. If everyone matches, everyone earns zero for that group.

2 ≤ k < N → k

With five players: two matching players get 2 points each; three get 3 each; four get 4 each. All five matching means 0. Points from your different answer groups are added together.

Two ways to compare.

Around the table

Read one answer at a time. Others tap one of their locked answers to propose a match. The judge approves it. Unread answers stay hidden.

Judge view

Once writing ends, the judge sees the answers together. Exact text matches are suggested; the judge can merge, split, approve and reject groups.

Turn your phone. See the score.

Landscape shows the scoreboard. Turn back to resume exactly where you were. You can also tap Show scores without rotating your device.

For iPhone and iPad. The synchronized game requires an internet connection. The topic library is stored in the app. Only the host needs an account. Games you play while signed in appear in your history automatically. A clearly marked demo lets you try a round with simulated players.

A look around the table.

Play in your group's language.

Choose your interface language independently of the game's topic and answer language. The same topic concept is shared across languages. Players' answers are never automatically translated.
