SomeSync privacy policy

What we process
Account holders use IT24's shared sign-in service. It processes account identifiers, email addresses and authentication information. SomeSync processes display names, game membership, topics, answers, judging decisions, revisions, scores, reports and connection information. Guests join with a display name and a room-specific session; no email is required.
Why we use the data
Game and account data are needed to provide the game and automatically save history for signed-in participants. Connection and moderation information help us operate the service and respond to misuse. We process the information needed to perform our agreement with you and to pursue our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable service and preventing abuse.
Who can see it
Game data are shared with the authorized participants and judge under the game rules. Other players’ answers are hidden during writing. In Around the table mode, unread answers remain hidden during review. Approved answers and results are saved automatically in signed-in participants’ game history. Support may access necessary information to handle a report. Other players cannot see your account email or authentication tokens.
Service providers
The service uses Amazon Web Services for sign-in, hosting and data storage in the existing IT24 environment. Apple operates app distribution and TestFlight. Optional Apple or Google sign-in follows the selected provider's privacy information. The app does not require an AI service to play or judge answers.
Retention and deletion
Saved game history is retained until you use the data-deletion tools or request deletion. Room-session expiry is separate from saved history. Deleting SomeSync data removes your name, answers and account link from relevant shared records. Remaining scores are recalculated when deleted answers are removed and may change. Reports in affected rooms are also cleared because their text may quote deleted content. Deleting the owner's data also closes the game. Backups follow the existing IT24 recovery lifecycle; deleted data must not be returned to active service during a restore.
Your choices and rights
Settings distinguishes deleting SomeSync data from deleting the shared IT24 account. Guests can delete their participation from the game. Contact support if you no longer have your guest session; we will verify the request without linking people by name alone. Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY, or your local data-protection authority.
Device permissions
Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan a QR code. Manual entry is always available. SomeSync does not request microphone, contacts or location access. No conversation is recorded. There are no ads or advertising-tracking features.
